Spring Vacation

We never blogged about our fantastic trip to both Arizona and Kansas. Most of you know all about it, but we will share a few of the pictures we took anyway(we must not like our own children, because we only came away with pictures of us and our granddaughters! Sorry B&M and M&S). First of all we spent a couple of nights with Matt and Stacy, where we were treated well. They provided a good bed and meals, warm sunny weather, kickback days and delightful company. Dad and I even ventured out alone to a Botanical Garden full of crazy looking cactus. We then flew off to Wichita where we were greeted by Mandy and two delightful little girls sitting in the backseat of their car. Jane remembered us, but Annie was not so sure when Dad crawled in next to her. However, they made quick friends when Dad played hide and go seek/and a peek a boo game all weekend with both of them. At Bradley and Mandy's house we were treated well too. They provided a good bed and meals, a wonderful zoo, and a backyard full of wildlife such as bunnies and squirrels(half park/half forest). It was really special for Dad to have the opportunity to ordain Bradley to the office of High Priest. We were so glad that coincided with our visit. We also got to tour Bradley's office, which was amazing. We loved being with the girls. Cutest little girls ever! They are an absolute delight, even at 4:00 in the morning when Jane came pitter-pattering down the stairs looking for us! The weekend over, we flew back to Arizona, where we enjoyed another couple of days with Matt and Stacy. Dad and Matt played another good tennis match, Stacy helped me cut out a bunch of letters and shapes with her amazing machine, had a great night (perfect weather) at the D-backs game and we enjoyed baby carrots from their wonderful garden. We also have to mention beating them at a game of Catch Phrase the night before we came home!! Needless to say, we had such a good time visiting with them all. It is fun to see their lovely homes, jobs, school, and the good lives they are all living. We are so proud of you all. Thanks to all of them for the wonderful hospitality!!
